For whio fans, we unveiled a new online game ‘Whio Boot Camp’ with players offered a chance to win an amazing whio adventure trip for two.

The game was played by thousands and generated a staggering 2,000 entries for the competition. But there could be just one winner and it was Josh from Taupo. Josh and his parent will take his prize trip to the South Island in ealry 2017 which includes a day with DOC rangers on the river working with whio. Well done Josh and enjoy your trip.

To get an idea of how special this prize is, read about last year’s winner Olive Patterson who won a Whio adventure trip in the Tongariro National Park where she also spent time with DOC Rangers working on the river.
